●The grinding amounts for the gash angle and secondary end relief angle can be adjusted.

●Corner geometry can be finished as either a sharp corner or with a gash land.

●A dedicated small-diameter grinding wheel enables accurate sharpening of small-diameter end mills.

●A dedicated 2-flute grinding wheel allows 2-flute end mills to be ground with a flat three-stage relief geometry.

●Shims can be used to adjust the grinding amounts for the gash angle and secondary end relief angle.

●The holder features an integrated bearing design for excellent durability and long service life.

●This machine is intended for end-tooth grinding only. For end mills with significant damage or chipping, the tool can first be cut with an optional cutting machine and then reground.

Collet Holder with Built-in Bearings

The collet holder is equipped with sealed bearings that help prevent collet wear and minimize end mill runout.

Application-Specific Wheels

A variety of grinding wheels are available for different sizes and materials.
EMG-413: Standard with 3 carbide grinding wheels.
EMG-1225: Standard with 2 HSS grinding wheels.

Optional: Standard wheels may be substituted with other wheel types to suit customer requirements at the time of order. Please specify your preferred wheel type when ordering.

The dedicated 2-flute wheel grinds the relief surface in three stages.

Adjustable Grinding Depth Using Shims

By using the standard shims supplied with the machine, the distance to the grinding surface can be finely adjusted, allowing precise control of the grinding amount. The grinding amount for both the gash angle and the secondary clearance angle of the end cutting edge can also be adjusted.

Supports end mills as small as Ø4 mm.

The use of a dedicated small-diameter grinding wheel and optimization of the gash width and depth through shims enables regrinding of end mills as small as Ø4 mm.

Freely Adjustable Secondary End Relief Angle

Grinding depth can be controlled by adding or removing shims from the grinding unit. The width of the secondary end relief angle can be freely adjusted, either wide or narrow, to match the cutting tool requirements.
